A warm welcome!
Eurohostel is next to the Katajanokka Sea Terminal area – just a short walk from the sights, shops and restaurants of central Helsinki. Guests at Eurohostel find everything close at hand. Even the ferry boat ride to Helsinki Zoo is only 800 metres away!
Trams number 4 and 5 take you to the city centre and back to the hostel. You can purchase your single ticket to Helsinki public transportation (HSL) at ticket machines , at parking ticket machines, at sales points or you can download an HSL app to your mobile phone to buy tickets. Tram drivers do not sell any tickets. Ticket prices here.
If you have lots of luggages, we recommend Menevä taxis, which you can conveniently order in advance here.
How to find Eurohostel?
from different directions
…from the city center?
If you don´t want to walk (only 15-20 minutes), just take the tram 4 or 5. These trams run along streets Mannerheimintie and Aleksanterinkatu in the centre. Trams run approximately every 5 to 15 minutes depending on weekday and the time of day.
The nearest stop to Eurohostel for tram 4 is Vyökatu. Hostel is located on your left side, behind a small park, when you step out of the tram. If you arrive by tram 5, the nearest stop is Kauppiaankatu and our hostel is located 350 meters southeast from the stop.

…from the ferry terminals?
Eurohostel is located in Katajanokka (our part of the town) about 200 meters from Katajanokka Terminal (aka Viking Line terminal).
In front of the Olympia Terminal (Silja Line) take tram 3 to the centre. Get out at the 3rd stop on “Aleksanterinkatu” street and go to the other side of the street. Take tram 4 or 5 to Eurohostel.
From the West Terminal (Tallink and Eckerö Line) it is best to take tram 7 (via Central Railway Station) to Senate Square. Hop off the tram 7 there and hop on the tram 4 eastbound.
Alternatively you can take tram 6 from West Terminal to Central Railway Station. Walk up 200 meters west to “Mannerheimintie” street and take tram 4 or 5 to hostel.

…from the Helsinki International Airport?
The airport is located in Vantaa – neighboring city north of Helsinki – 21 kilometers from Helsinki city center and Eurohostel.
The easiest way to come from the airport to Eurohostel is taking a P-train (on Ring Rail Line) from the Airport Railway Station to Helsinki Central Railway Station. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes. The public transportation price for a single ticket for zones ABC is 4,10 €, it´s valid 90 minutes and you can use it also in trams from the city center to Eurohostel. For example, from the Lasipalatsi tram stop (in front of the Sokos department store) you can continue your journey to the hostel by tram 4 or 5.

…from the Central Railway Station or Kamppi Bus Terminal?
Walk up to Lasipalatsi tram stop at Mannerheimintie street, it´s located 200 meters west from Central Railway Station and 200 meters east from Kamppi Bus Terminal. Take tram 4 to Katajanokka direction (eastbound) and the 7th stop (Vyökatu) is the nearest to Eurohostel. Eurohostel is in front of you, bit on the right side.
At Lasipalatsi tram stop you can also take tram 5 to Eurohostel, in that case the nearest stop is Mastokatu. You can find our hostel behind the parking area on the left hand side (50 metres). Ask the tram driver if you are not sure.

…by your own car?
From the city centre follow the roadsigns to Katajanokka (the part of the city where the hostel is located) or to the Katajanokan terminaali (nearest ferry terminal to our hostel). After you have crossed the bridge to Katajanokka follow the tramline about 400 meters to Kruunuvuorenkatu until tramline divides, then choose the tramline to the left (to Linnankatu) and after 100 meters turn right (before a small park). Eurohostel is a high grey building made of bricks on your left side.
When using the navigator, write Linnankatu 9, 00160 Helsinki and let it guide you to our hostel.
